“On and On” - The Velveteers

Well somebody’s been listening to some ‘00s/ ‘10s NYC rock! Boulder, Colorado trio The Velveteers are channeling the very best of Yeah Yeah Yeahs/ Karen O and The Dead Weather/ Alison Mosshart on their latest single, “On and On.” Throw in a little bit of Nashville’s Thelma and the Sleaze and you get the picture.

Jack White’s probably gonna hate me for that Dead Weather reference since his favorite Nashville beef-target, Dan Auerbach (The Black Keys), has been producing The Velveteers since 2021’s Nightmare Daydream LP, but a fact’s a fact.

“On and On” is the third track from their upcoming A Million Knives LP (coming out on Valentine’s Day— how quaint!), and each of the releases so far are quite varied, but equally catchy.

Do me a favor and check ‘em out now and ride that wave come February 14th.
